Gitex

This week the Gitex Trade Fair was on in Dubai. It is a technology trade fair where you can go and check out all the latest gadgets. Here is Mehdi on Casey Stoner's Ducati. Stoner is sponsored by Sandisk who had a display there. I got a new label maker which I am super exited about and Mehdi came home with a new telly so he's also stoked!

Atlantis Aquaventure

Back in Dubai the weather is cooling down a bit. It's been averaging about mid thirties in the last few weeks.
A new aqua park has opened in time for winter in the new Atlantis Hotel on the Palm Island Jumeira. It's the biggest water park outside the USA, and it's pretty cool!

A view of the Burj Al Arab from the park.

Me at the shark tank, there are two slides that go through it in perspex tubes!

During his visit to Munich, Mehdi also found time for the BMW museum and production tour.

He found Jess' old car.

And her next one! Plenty of room for a baby seat, don't know where Ayden's gonna sit though?

Grub vom Octoberfest

Mehdi and I both got the chance to go to Octoberfest this year, but not together : (
We still had a great time though, here are some of our pics!

A horse drawn beer cart, lay off Friar Tuck!
Look at all those barrels of beer, mmmm. The beer served at Octoberfest is specialy brewed with an extra kick just for this festival!

One of the many beer houses set up just for this festive month. There are fourteen in total and the challenge is to have a beer in each one. I got through a huge two...~

Inside one of the beer tents, it's chaos. Great umpa band though!

Broste! This is me and Carla already a bit unsteady half way through our second (litre of) beer!

Happy Brithday Mehdi!

It was Mehdi's Birthday on the 28th, we were in Paris.
We woke up early, had a nice breakfast in the hotel and headed into the city

Here we are on top of the Galleries Lafayette Building. After a little bit of shopping we had mussles and chips for lunch at Leon de Bruxelles (no idea how to spell!).

Sunrise at 34,000ft, on the way back to DXB.

Mehdi and I just before landing in DXB, coming back down to earth!

The next day after we arrived in DXB, we went for a 60km quad desert safari, early in the morning. It was still pretty hot (even at 6am) but we had heaps of fun and the desert is so beautiful at that time of the day!

Here's Mehdi taking a quick drink break on his 450cc yamaha before taking on that sand dune (I'm serious!).

Me looking fabulous at the crack of dawn.... "So where's the on button?"

Paris, the most romantic city in the world.

Mehdi and I just came back from Paris yesterday morning. It was my first time in the city of lights during the summer time and it was lovely. It was a bit of a cloudy day but perfect temp for walking (to galleries lafayette)!

Here's me... "Wait Remy, come back and make me a Ratatouille!"

Me again in a little garden at the Place de la Concorde end of the Champs-Elysee, Mehdi had the Camera that day.

August together

Mehdi and I have had our August roster together, with three 24hr Tunis flights, 24hrs Paris and some turnarounds. So far we have done one turnaround and all our Tunis flights.

Here I am at the new Head Quaters Breifing Centre, doing my nails before our first Tunis.

About ten hours later at the pool of our hotel in Tunis with Cyrinne and Sondes

Cyrinne and Sondes in the pool. Cyrinne came to stay with us at hotel each time. Our usual routine was to go straight to the pool for a swim as soon as we checked in and then to get ready and go to Mehdi's Family for dinner, wake up early the next morning to go shopping and for one last dip before our flight back to DXB.

The view from our room in Tunis.

Me ready for landing for the 2nd Tunis.

Mehdi carrying our shopping home from the souk.

Me staying out of the pool and reading my book on our last Tunis (I had a bit of a cold).
